The flash sprite occupies the entire timeline. Actually the director movie is unloading and loading sections of its timeline at many of these points. It didn't occur to me that it would also be loading and unloading the flash sprite. Would imaging lingo be a work around that would avoid this problem? I've never used imaging lingo but it seems logical. I've noticed, however, upon further inspection that some of it seems to occur where I'm using cuepoints in my sound files to control the play head progress. I've got sound checked OFF on the flash sprite if that would be a factor.
