I thought pageHeight was a field member property (and the Dir MX Lingo Dictionary and Help confirm that), not a text member property. Yet Property Inspector shows fixed values for pageHeight for my text members. I don't know where they come from. What sets them and what defines their values *before* a text member is assigned to a sprite?

I also thought that pageHeight only made sense when the member is assigned to a sprite. PageHeight then reflects the height of the portion of the member that is currently visible (limited by the height of the sprite). Yet with my text members, pageHeight is an inherent property that has a value even when the member is not assigned to a sprite.

What am I thinking wrong?

Thanks,

Slava
