Help! The QuickTime movies in my Director project are crashing my PC. They work fine on a Mac). The QuickTime movies play fine in QuickTime player on the PC.
I am using Director MX and 8.5 (trying different projectors). I am used to running QuickTime 6.5 but my end users machines (PC¹s) are locked down to QuickTime 5. I brought QuickTime down to 5 on my test PC. I am using Sorenson 3 with no audio compression. And the movies play fine in the player. Sometimes the movies play fine. They contain markers and are pre-loaded. I have done this many times without problem. Could it be my test computer? Is there a problem with the QT asset Xtra? If I am using QT 6 asset Xtra does that cause trouble? How can I get the QuickTime asset 5 back? Any suggestions? The movies play fine on the Mac in Director with no trouble.
