Testing this again, after playing with it last year, I could have sworn 
I got it to work on OS X, but I can't remember now how.  One thing I do 
know is that if you want to tell the Finder to open something, you have 
to use "Finder.app" in OS X.  Otherwise it tries to run Classic.

This works, although it hits the browser first, like a mailto: does.  
That may be a solution for you, or it may not.

PC
gotoNetPage ("folder name\file name\")
It may not work with Mac OS X. On Windows, I've also read that Lingo 
open
also works with folders.
The open command does work on Windows.
Type the command open "C:\windows" with "explorer.exe" in the message 
window and it opens right up for you.
