I'm not sure what Florian's points were, but I run XP with 2 completely different 
graphics cards, an AGP Geforce 440 MX with 256Mb on board ram, for my primary monitor. 
 I then have a Matrox Millennium PCI card that handles a further 4 screens.  and I 
never have problems with any of them, I can independently configure size, colour depth 
or positioning, and synchronize them all too. And I'm not running a super computer 
either!

just out of interest: do you care to elaborate, 
what are the advantages of windows in regards to 
multiple monitors, other than requiring dual head 
graphic cards instead of being able to handle two 
seperate cards properly ?
