Hey folks,

I didn't get a response for my Qs, but there were some big threads
going. I thought I'd try one more time:

2 questions. First, I've got someone else's projector on CD. It has a
button that causes a .mpg video file elsewhere on the CD to play
externally, i.e. in whatever video player the user has set for .mpg. I'd
like to recreate this, how can I make a sprite on my stage do this on
mouseup?

Have you tried Lingo's open _____ with ____ command?

Second, I have several video files that I've captioned using MagPie 2.0. Playing the .mpg itself is sufficient to get captions in Windows Media Player; it automatically finds the associated caption file. Real and QuickTime must instead open a coordinator file in their own .smil formats to view the video with captions. How can my projector tell the user's computer to open an external .smil file with the appropriate player?
