I had a project where we had several Screencams to play, and we tried AVI,
Quicktime, and finally resorted to launching them from Lingo. The results
from Quicktime were better than AVI, but the file size gets enormous, and
the visuals were only marginally acceptable. I would recommend calling from
Lingo or BudAPI. There are some command-line parameters that you can launch
screencam with that will get rid of screencam's control panel, and
automatically play, (I can't recall them right now, should be in screencam's
help) so it should look fairly seamless going from Director to Screencam.
good luck.
