Yow, five minutes doesn't seem like much of a limit. I've successfully
played looong videos within Director apps -- the longest was two hours.
01:59:14:00 really, but that was DVD video, which is definitely not AVI.
You might try converting your video to mpeg to see if performance
improves; your video files would certainly be smaller.
