Thanks, Roy--you and Mark Jonkman provided the missing piece of the puzzle, explicitly setting the preload buffer time. It works now--kind of. I'm still puzzling about one thing. When it stops and I play again, it goes out and downloads the audio again. Is there a way to keep the sound in the buffer? The state is correct, 1 or 0, depending on how it stops (finishing or clicking the Stop button).
