Hi Bhakti

One suggestion, you can take your illustrator files and send them into
photoshop (which generally invokes the resolution dialogue so that you can
set the resolution settings as per your desire). Its been a while since I've
done this, but if memory serves me right, you would do that from within
Illustrator ->export as Photoshop. Which would preserve the layering, I
think if you open the illustrator file directly in PS it will flatten the
image and render as a single layer. So depending if you want to flatten it
or preserve the layers would depend on how you export or import it into PS.
>From there you have the option of saving out your stuff as a psd or bmp and
importing into director.

If you want to go direct from illustrator to director, then export as a psd
from illustrator and bring the files in with photocaster. Don't know if
that would work for you or not... just a suggestion. The xtra that you seem
to be talking about was from Darrel Plant I believe so you might check out
http://www.moshplant.com but I believe it was for importing ai files as
vectors (actually I think it was eps files to vector). or more specifically:
http://www.moshplant.com/direct-or/ps2vs/

It is eps to vector shape though.

Sincerely

Mark
