We got it sorted out.....finally. Just rebooted the host machine and tried
again. And it worked just fine. Kinda feeing silly now.... :-]
I'm not a WinNT pro. Have you got an explanation why such a thing would
happen?

Wow, I'm really surprised; I had the same problem with localhost (did you
try that? Didn't work for me) so I used the ip and it was fine.
Are these machines on an internal network? Is this machine functioning as a
router for the..........
