Hhmmm... Have you set the collision mode?
member(whichCastmember).model(whichModel).collision.mode
This can be:
member("3d").model("yourModel").collision.mode = #mesh (#box or #sphere).

But this does not seem to be your problem. Other option is to use the Havok
Xtra.
