I had a brief look for similar but I should have looked a bit further, looks like someone had the same problem with the Mac version. It looks like the key problem step is "add a contact". I wonder if it would crash a clean 6.0.0 installation, ie not upgraded from 5.2.6. P'raps I'll try that. Thanks for the response.
