Here are my reasons: 1. Across-the-board compatibility for middleware components without compromising the power of the mainframe. This is something we didn't get with OS2, RS-6000/AIX or OMVS. 2. Uniformity. 3. Eliminates OSF/SUN/Unix confusion (finally!).
My 2 cents. What would be the top 3 reasons that you folks have moved to a Mainframe Linux solution? I would think that lower TCO would be one of the main reasons, however, would also like your input.
