If you're really after a low overhead gui then Blackbox is about as low as you're going to get. My favourite Linux magazine is giving Fluxbox a lot of favourable reviews as well - it's a sort of successor to Blackbox. I use Blackbox on the P100 + 16Mb box. I even used it on a 40Mhz, 386 with 4Mb of RAM. Ah yes, my first Linux installation . . . Rod Furey (downsized again - sigh)
