I attended an IBM z/VM for Linux Administrator class last year, they had indicated that HMC support was being worked on for the OPERATOR console. In fact you can specify SYSCONS (sp?) in the SYSTEM CONFIG as of z/VM 3.1 even though it was not yet fully implemented.
Is this no longer a planned enhancement? Am I mis-interpreting it's functionality/scope? I haven't had time to stay current on z/VM 4.2 and 4.3 as I have not been doing much with L/390 lately except under Hercules :(.
