Is nmbd running?  That can sometimes cause this problem, but I wouldn't
expect "start run \\zvmlinx1" to work in that case.  (As Daniel pointed out,
it might work, if you have a DNS entry for zmvlinx1.)

I normally specify my "interfaces" parameter as ip.address/24 (or whatever
your netmask is).  I don't think that's the problem, either, but it is a
difference between my setup and yours.

You might consider specifying the "remote browse sync" and "remote announce"
parameters.  Adam suggested having "wins proxy = yes", and I do that as
well.

Is your desktop's workgroup/domain "littlerock?"

Is your desktop's primary WINS server 10.37.1.26?
