Hi list, > Simple way is to amend the zipl.conf to add the vm address of the minidisk > e.g. parameters='dasd=0999,0300-0303,6666 root=/dev/dasdb1 > noinitrd
I've started to edit my zipl.conf (SLES7) in this way parameters="dasd=0200-0220 root=/dev/dasdb1 noinitrd" I use only ~5 minidisks (200-205), but in this case I don't have to edit zipl.conf + executing zipl every time I modify the z/VM user directory (adding more minidisks). I only have to reboot Linux and the disks are online. One question: Is there any advantage to use dasdfmt instead of using "format xy z (blksize 4096" within z/VM??
