I have been trying to create a zLinux system using the presentation from
William Scully (http://linuxvm.org/Presentations/misc/basevol.html).

It seems to work pretty well except I get some errors from the boot device
when it is brought up read-only. These don't affect the boot until I
define some LVM managed devices - then I get the following messages:

dasd_erp(3990): /dev/dasdc ( 94: 8),[EMAIL PROTECTED]: EXAMINE 24: Command Reject

and eventually ...

fsck failed. Please repair manually and reboot. The root
file system is currently mounted read-only. To remount it
read-write do:

   bash# mount -n -o remount,rw /

Has anyone seen this and could point me where to look?
