Ok, no problem... Our setup is z800, shark dasd, windows servers, and linux x86 servers, On the z800 we have z/vm with vse and linux under vm.. The z800 is an a01..80mip box
The z800 is not fast enough to run our helpdesk application.. Which is a Perl desk sourceforge.net free program.. We need to move the linux under vm to an x86 platform...not only move the current System but for new applications also.. I don't want to have to buy a large internal dasd for my linux server for one thing I need about 400gb for a mysql application.. Just easier to setup on shark... How do I get access to the shark from the x86.. On windows I just map a drive To the shark.. I have an internal 90gb hard drive on my windows box but I want to map a 300gb drive on the shark... No problem...... How do I do the same thing with linux on x86 Hope I have explained best I can Anything else just ask..
