I've installed, via apt, kernel-image-2.6.8-2-s390, and i've modified /boot/parmfile deleting the word "noinitrd", also i've modified /etc/zipl.conf adding the line "ramdisk=/initrd.img" and after rebooted the vm i have: RAMDISK: cramfs filesystem found at block 0 RAMDISK: Loading 2036 blocks ]1 disk( into ram disk... done. VFS: Mounted root (cramfs filesystem) readonly. Freeing unused kernel memory: 84k freed initrd-tools: 0.1.78 pivot_root: No such file or directory /sbin/init: 431: cannot open dev/console: No such file
