I should have asked a further question. I assume you realize that TSM under z/Linux will only write to fibrechannel drives, not FICON or ESCON. If your 9310 is controlled by an open system running ACSLS, you are fine. If it is controlled by a z/OS system, you need an additonal piece of software from Sun/STK called Library Station. Library Station runs in conjunction with the NCS library control software, and handles library requests from open systems.
