Hi group !!

I am currently trying to install lvm2 into my SLES9 under z/VM but I have a
dependency problem referring to the unavailability of libdevmapper
packages.so.1.00.

I am enclosing a jpeg hardcopy of the problem. Any help will be very
welcome.

atlas:/mnt/cdrom/suse/s390 # ls | grep lvm2
lvm2-2.00.15-0.3.s390.rpm
atlas:/mnt/cdrom/suse/s390 # rpm -ivh lvm2-2.00.15-0.3.s390.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libdevmapper.so.1.00 is needed by lvm2-2.00.15-0.3
libdevmapper.so.1.00(Base) is needed by lvm2-2.00.15-0.3
atlas:/mnt/cdrom/suse/s390 #

It seems like I have to install these two packages before installing lvm2.
The questions that arise are:

1.- Where can I get such packages (I mean the real exact packages, not just
similar ones)
2.- How is it possible that such packages needed for a distribution
component are not available in the CD installation media ???????

Thanks in advance

brgds.
