find /etc/rc.d/ -name "*boot.multipath"
/etc/rc.d/boot.d/S07boot.multipath
/etc/rc.d/boot.d/K15boot.multipath

/etc/rc.d is a symbolic link to /etc/init.d/

That's the same version I'm running, and it works for me. I'm betting
there are some symbolic links in /etc/rc.d/rcS.d/ that reference the
script(s). Try this, and see what, if anything, shows up:
find /etc/rc.d/ -name "*boot.multipath"
