We had given up on trying to get the EMC Clariion provisioned to SLES10 using NPIV. The NPIV id for the linux guest is logged into the switch and is provisioned to EMC DMX3 storage, so we know the connection to the switch is working. On the Clariion side we can't provision for the NPIV connection, as if the NPIV id was not logged into the switch.
So, are you using NPIV with the connections to the EMC Clariion and if so, do you have any other tips from your experience that might help us get this to work?
