   1. This is exactly what I did and then the first address was configured
   and the two other UAs were considered as extra devices. When I recycled the
   image the driver waits while the necessary addresses are not available. So
   by any reason, the grouping of the ccw-addresses seems not to work.


I analysed further and found out that in the hwcfg-qeth-bus-ccw-0.0.xxxx
files the CCW_CHAN_IDS field was empty. Filling this in with the correct UAs
resolved actually my problem.

What I wonder now is, why is there no command that can activate a new OSA
adapter, like chccwdev is there for DASD. Using Yast is very difficult, when
the network stack is not working as it does not work on the 3270 screen. So
a command / shell script would be very useful for an emergency action. Well
I can do it myself of course but it would be nice when a commonly available
solution would be available.
