You can use jar -xvf infact very similar switches to that of tar.

Subject: a un-jar utility for java archives?

Anyone know where to get a un-jar utility for java archives?
Does one come with the java SDK?

Need the utility for SLES 9 s390x. Not being a java user I wouldn't know
one if I saw one; I'm asked to find one.
