I remember them, we got them running OS/VS1, in the page datasets. IBM engineers said, "It's software." Software folk said "It's hardware." VS1 didn't log them (eres). Eventually, we replaced the IBM 231[49] drives with Memorex 3330-1 clones. Problem fixed.
