Hello, All,

I would like to thanks everybody for the answers and contributions.

We incurrend in a disk i/o error that was causing the reiserfs to go into
readonly mode.

It seems unmounting, remounting and doing fsck has solved the problem.

Just for info, these were errors in /var/log/messages before fsck:

Aug 25 15:39:11 sles11 kernel: dasd_erp(3990): 0.0.0104: Command Reject -
Fatal error
Aug 25 15:39:11 sles11 kernel: dasd(eckd): I/O status report for device
0.0.0104:

...omitted...

Aug 25 15:39:11 sles11 kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev dasde, sector 558280
Aug 25 15:39:11 sles11 kernel: REISERFS abort (device dm-0): Journal write
error in flush_commit_list
