I guess I don't understand your question. Have you tried to run earlier versions of Debian on a z10 and it didn't work? The s390 port of Debian has been around since 3.1. I myself have successfully run 3.1 (Sarge), 4.0 (Etch), 5.0 (Lenny), and now 6.0 (Squeeze) on a z/890, and I have no reason to believe that a z10 is any different. If it will run on a z890 it will surely run on a z10. What exactly are you asking? -- .''`.
