Your message does'nt tell me anything about your setup. I'm guessing that you're not using the SCSI multipath daemon and use sdX devices directly. In that case I think you should a) get a second path to your device, b) setup multipath daemon, and c) use queue_if_no_path setting to ensure that your filesystems remain usable.
