I thought the paper tape TTYs were called ASR (Automatic Send Receive?) instead of KSR (Keyboard Send Receive). I remember using one back in high school at a special program at TCU in Ft. Worth. I was impressed. Not with the KSR, but with the professor who apologized for being late - he was trading in his 2 year old Rolls Royce for a new one.
