*That* is crap. This thing is controlled by a set of config files, which have stupid defaults (and which support ifdef'd includes, so there's even less excuse for not skipping configuration stuff that doesn't make sense on Z). /etc/console-kit contains the configuration files for console-kit. Remove the entries in /etc/console-kit for the unwanted console definitions and the error messages will stop. Note that this thing is also destined to be replaced by a systemd function if/when SLES adopts systemd -- the sourceforge page for the console-kit package is no longer maintained, so I'm kind of surprised that it's being used in a modern distribution. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@vm.marist.edu with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/
