I am running RHEL 6.4 in an LPAR (not under zVM), and I have a question
regarding HyperPAV with ECKD DASD. I found the IBM "HyperPAV and Large Volume
support on zLinux" presentation which talks about multipathing
tools/modules/configuration settings for RHEL5. I have also seen statements
that indicate newer Linux versions just automatically support HyperPAV in the
DASD driver. I am hoping that someone can clarify this for me.

[root@lnxslx2 proc]# uname -a
Linux lnxslx2.lexisnexis.com 2.6.32-358.el6.s390x #1 SMP Tue Jan 29 12:06:31
EST 2013 s390x s390x s390x GNU/Linux

Here is the output for "lsdasd -u":
[root@lnxslx2 proc]# lsdasd -u

Do I need to setup or configure anything else? How can I test the multi-path
IO? How can I tell if the aliases are being used? Any other tips or best
practices regarding HyperPAV would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
