df would show something like this (for a dual disk system):
Filesystem           1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/dasda1            7098008   3444452   3292988  52% /
devtmpfs                510668       100    510568   1% /dev
tmpfs                   510668        16    510652   1% /dev/shm
/dev/dasdb1            7098008    925552   5811888  14% /home

In this case, dasda1 has the root directory "/".
dasdb1 has the home subdirectory "/home".
