Christian, Looks like I have a couple of Linux LPARs that I'm going to have to move to the new storage too. (I was hoping to be able to retire them, but no such luck.) The trick with the EDEV isn't going to work for them (LUNs are too big).
What would be a good tool to use in Linux to do physical copies of LUNs? My colleagues usually only deal with copying filesystems, like rsync, which would not do the trick for me. I think your last resort (using a Linux server) is actually not a bad idea as direct attached FCP is usually faster than EDEV. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@vm.marist.edu with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www2.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@vm.marist.edu with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www2.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
