Peter,

The main thing is mapping out addressing of individual disk addresses to
WWPN/LUN combinations. You then need to map out pathing (use NPIV for
isolation of FCP traffic between individual guests and their LUNs), enable
multipathd, configure WWPNs/LUNs in you Linux with zfcpconf (or whatever is the
current tool), update zipl for the rootfs.

Might you be better off just installing your o/s anew so you get to use wizards
to lay things out?

Thanks,

Sam

Subject: DS8886 to IBM FS9200

Hello

Cross posted

We have some Linux guest using DS8886 via FBA(SCSI).

When we migrate from DS8886 to FS9200. What are the changes are needed in
REDHAT running on zVM ?

Has anyone done this type of migration and willing to share your experience?

Peter
