Hello!

I've got a laptop with APM (advanced power management) stuff compiled 
into kernel 2.0.36... It uses some APM BIOS call of some kind to power 
down at the halt command...

Don't know if this helps much, but there it is :)

However the APM BIOS does it I guess is what you want to do?
