Half answer:
Bought my BP6 in july, ran it almost constantly for 4 months:
Matrox G200, No UDMA/66, Xserver constantly running. Average
uptime on the order of a week. (I like to play the occasional
game..)
Experienced one (1) lockup during that time, which I feel was
due to an X server crash.
Since last month, I'm forced to shutdown the machine after
only a few hours, since it's been moved to the living room,
and my wife doesnot like the noise..
