I did that too (make -j3) - no lockup. But once I do 2x100% floating point
instensive stuff (2 instances of seti or 2 instances of lame) for 2-3
days, it'll lock up.

I just had a lock up with geforce glx stuff. Other people have had hard
lock ups with the nvidia glx/xf86_svga binaries, so this could be it.
OTOH, it is floating point intensive stuff... Way too many variables.
