I had the problem with "lost interrupts" on the hard drive. My answer
was a dodgey 366 that didn't like the jump to light speed. If your
problem was like mine, reduce your FSB or change your cpu's and see if
the problem goes away.

PS I also received signal 11's occasionally during compiles.
