Is there any recourse for rescuing data from a crashed drive?
Here is the error I see when trying to mount it. Below is the story behind
it.

unable to read partition table
So my machine crashed a number of times on Saturday. It wasn't the fault
of the BP6. Somehow, between an upgrade to Mandrake 7.2, a clean install
of XFree86 4.0.1 and the NVidia kernel module, I managed to get a system
where running any OpenGL app would hard-lock the system. After a number
of unsucessful attempts to fix it, and subsequent reboots, the drive
crashed.
