I have compiled DiskPerf but I get the following error when I run it
./DiskPerf /dev/hde
HDIO_DRIVE_TASKFILE failed: Input/output error
Read DMA failed: Input/output error

repeated many times
The board is a BP6 not overclocked.
The harddrives are

The hard drives are on a promise 66 card as I had difficulties with the
HPP366.

I am running software raid1.
The distribution is Redhat 6.1
The kernel is 2.2.18pre24 SMP with Andre's latest IDE patch (many many
thanks for the backport to 2.2.18pre24 as 2.2.17 is unstable because of the
VM problems) the kernel also has the raid patches, the vpn masq patch, the
VM-global-2.2.18pre18-7 patch and the lm_sensors patches.
It is running in apic mode.
Anyway it is very stable and I am tempted to try the HPP366 again but am a
little concerned that Diskperf gives these errors, hdparm and tiotest all
run without problems.
Any idea what the problem is?
