You never replied to that message.

If you had, I would have taken you to the next level (which would have
explained how some of the concrete issues you've raised have already
been solved).

I disagree. Before attempting any synthesis, you must first assign
weights to the various bits of information you posses.

So . . . what did you learn?

I'd agree about the beta quality, but not
the penguin. The one I got looked like what
you'd expect a penguin sealed inside a
plastic bag would look like. The set of
PS fonts on the second disk was nice, too.

If you have access to Corel Office on
Windows, you can check the ability of
the import filters there - should be
the same code AFAIK.

I've never needed any more than what
SO can do, but there is also a CLI
xls2html filter (and others for Word
and PowerPoint) if all you need to
do is view.

employee for another.

I started purchasing stock at the age of 12 with paper route money.

Anybody who claims that they can't afford to buy stock is making
excuses.

Right. And that's why the US, with the best securities structure in
the world is also the most prosperous nation in the world.

The stock market has NOTHING to do with it?

If you need $10,000,000, then you have two options:
1) find an individual or small group who is willing to give you
$10,000,000 for your business, and waste a lot of time and energy
haggling over a contract about the whole deal, or

2) sell 10 million shares at $1 each, letting thousands or even
millions of people share the risk....thus, raising the cash
quite quickly.

Thus, you make my point for me. If the Russians wanted to keep
him quiet, then they would have had him snagged the first night
he started making a nuisance of himself...BEFORE the western media
ever found out.

The fact that Western news agencies were allowed to televise the
"rise of Solidarity" indicates, that, in fact, that is PRECISELY
what Moscow wanted to happen.

yeah I know, I used a linux box as a nat router for awhile. I used
pmfirewall as quite honestly, the
amount of background work necessary for me to do it manually wasn't worth
the effort given the
number of reasonably priced alternatives. I find this to be the case quite
often the with Linux software.

Well, for NOLUG (New Orleans Linux User Group), we have monthly meetings
that include at least one how-to class, have the occational vendor show
up, spend the rest of the meeting helping each other out, doing
installs, or just cracking jokes & talking shop. We also have a mailing
list so we can keep each other updated on the latest.

We kinda keep up with the Baton Rouge LUG, but not too much. We also
try to keep the main interest in networking & open source software.
This means that the BSD's as well as other *Nix's are discussed. Check
us out. http://nolug.dhs.org

I: "Having found not one single carbon monoxide leak on the entire
premises, it is my belief, and Willard concurs, that the reason
you folks feel listless and disoriented is simply because
    you are lazy, stupid people"

A: The wise man is mocked by fools.

B: "Jeem" Dutton is a fool of the pathological liar sort.

C: Jet plays the fool and spews out nonsense as a method of
sidetracking discussions which are headed in a direction
   that she doesn't like.

D: Jet claims to have killfiled me.

E: Jet now follows me from newgroup to newsgroup
   ...despite (D) above.

F: Neither Jeem nor Jet are worthy of the time to compose a
   response until their behavior improves.

G: Unit_4's "Kook hunt" reminds me of "Jimmy Baker's" harangues against
adultery while concurrently committing adultery with Tammy Hahn.

H: Knackos...you're a retard.
