I couldn't care less if it was caused by little gremlins. A crashed app is a
crashed app is a crashed app. And this sh*t also happens on UNIX/Linux

I didn't see ANYTHING that would indicate that the data stored lasts
after the power goes off.

Cheap MAIN memory, and maybe as a way to "ram disk" all of your
filesystems...but no permanent storage capability, from what I've seen.

Well, since we were talking about <QUOTE> "intuitive" interaces <QUOTE>, I
believe the registry doesn't qualify, not being an interface. And how being
documented makes something "intuitive" ? Don't feel the need to answer, it's
a rhetorical question.

But you are welcome to use the documented, "intuitive" TweakUI 2K interface,

No need for regulation.  Sucky management has it's own reward (bankruptcy);
similarly, so does lousy pre-investment research.

Nah...that just means that all of the projects that had been on hold
since 1998 were able to start up again by the end of Jan 2000.

And believe me...there's a LOT of that.

Windows is the best tool for any job. Gates is smarter than anyone else
and cares about me. He wants to show me the way to my salvation, the
One Microsoft Way, and he can do the same for you if you will only
confess your sins http://www.bsa.org/ and let him into your heart.
Someday the world will be one and we will all follow the way of the
truth and the light, the way of Gates, because he cares for you, for me,
and for all of humanity. We should strive to buy software scribed by
his disciples because it is the right thing to do and will lead to our
salvation and everlasting life.

Bill and the holy mother Melinda are saving the world with the money we
send them. We should be generous in our gifts to Gates because he and
Melinda are saving the world and in return bless us with more of the
Holy Scriptures.

Do not be tempted by Satan. He comes disguised in a black suit with a
big yellow beak. He will try to tempt you away from the One Microsoft
Way by showing what he says is the true scripture, which he would like
you to believe is "open" and something that we too gaze upon and even
can change. He tries to make us worship the idol of this "open source"
scripture to lead us away from the One Microsoft Way. Do not be led
astray. Do not be moved by this blasphemy.

There is only one true Holy Scripture. It is hidden from our view
because to gaze upon it burns our eyes and turns us to pillars of salt.
The consecrated holy Redmond clerics translate and interpret the Holy
Scriptures for us, and some are ordained by Gates to even write more
Holy Scripture. The Holy Scripture does magic things for us, like type
letters and play games, because Gates has commanded it so. It is good.
Witnessing the everlasting magic of what the Scripture does for me has
changed my life, and I hope it will do the same for you.

Just hope it's not one of the new one's with built-in vibration generator.

Subject: Windows XP! Will it really be reliable?

I just saw a news piece on Windows XP!
Microsoft claims that it can run for days
without crashing! Anyone have any real
world experience with Windows XP?
Is it really reliable?

I already have 5 PC's at home all running
Linux. I don't see why I need a new OS.

You're missing my point....

Kernel level deadlocks in LoseDOS land are generally leftover
artifacts cause by some OTHER application (or earlier operations
of the same application)
