How large is the ext2 partition? Starting with a particular version of
mkfs.ext2 (sorry, don't know the version), it will format using sparse
superblocks on larger partitions. MILO doesn't understand this. The best
thing to do is make a small /boot partition (15Meg etc..) and store the
kernel in there. If that's the problem.....
