I use mgetty+fax. I have not tried it, but believe that the print
spooler can be directed using /etc/printcap to queue outgoing faxes. I think
this would serve outgoing fax capability.

I keep hearing rumours regarding kits for sale that hook between the phone
jack, a sound card input and output, and a serial or parallel input. These kits
supposedly provide answering machine and voicemail capability. Thus far I have
been unable to find a current user or actual url. I have been unable to allocate
the time to build one myself. I suspect that many would appreciate your posting
results to this list.

                                                Thank you,
