Of the four database systems mentioned I've worked with all but Adabas D
(I've loaded it onto my system but haven't had time to experiment). For
Linux I would probably go with Sybase or Informix, although Oracle is
also a good choice it's much more involved to manage than either Sybase
or Informix. The only question I would have with Sybase is how are they
handling referential integrity in the case of a system failure without
Raw partitions? 

Which version of Sybase are they planning to port?
