Let me be the first...

   mgetty. Works like a charm. Get  mgetty-1.1.19.tgz (used to be called
mgetty+sendfax) mgetty-viewfax works great too. There's also .rpms around if
you use Redhat. My experience is that it's best to compile it yourself, but
your mileage may vary.
