I have a set of three systems that I am -trying- to use
ssh to execute tar & pipe the output into a local tape
drive . I have setup the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys for these
systems & I can ssh to each of these systems without passwd
(which is what I want) as the backup user .

What is happening : The script will be in a stopped state
emmediatly after execution . If I 'fg' the process & just
hit 'enter' & then put it back into background the process
will continue to completion . I for the life of me can not
figure out -what- the ssh portion of the command is waiting
        for ?

Are there any suggestions for getting around this difficulty ?
                        Tia, JimL
